Which Visqueen Cover Shall I Choose?
Visqueen Clear

Quality British made polythene cover designed to perform in UK conditions. Standard 720g Clear Polytunnel Cover - The Visqueen range of films are manufactured using the latest technology, binding three separate layers of polyethylene together to produce an extremely strong and durable cover for your existing structure. This clear cover uses the latest generation of UV stabilisers to ensure optimum light transmission and sets the standard for covering structures.
Visqueen Luminance

Quality British made polythene cover designed to perform in UK conditions. Luminance Polytunnel Cover - This polytunnel cover has the added advantage of an anti-condensation additive which reduces 'dripping' in your tunnel, this helps to promote strong, bushy growth, can give a prolonged cropping season, and creates good conditions for pollination by insects. Condensation droplets form on the inside of your structure and instead of dropping directly onto your crops, the droplets follow the contours on the polytunnel cover, running down the inside of your tunnel instead. The anti-condensation additive is only active for 1 season then the film reverts to performing as a conventional film.
Visqueen Polytherm Plus

Quality British made polythene cover designed to perform in UK conditions. Politherm AF was introduced into the UK over 10 years ago and was the first film to combine excellent mechanical strength, heat retention and long lasting anti-fogging properties in a clear, high light transmission film. It has established a deserved reputation for early crop condensation to spread out on the film surface, which reduces water 'dripping' onto crops and leads to higher light transmission - water dropelts on film can reflect back up to 15% of incoming light. Combined with the heat retaining characteristics of the film, this means the warmest conditions in the winter and overnight, and fast warm-up and plant development in the spring. Polytherm 'Plus' now has a new UVI system which gives a 5 season lifetime and broad band absorption of UV light. This has been shown to assist in the control of spore production of botrytis and downy mildew. Broad band UV absorption also affects insects as it blocks out wavelengths of light which are important to insect vision. Therefore aphids and whitefly infestations can be inhibited, together with the disease they may carry. the behaviour of pollinating insects will be adversely affected, and the development of some flower or plant colours and fragrances may be inhibited.

Anti Hot Spot Tape

Placed on the hoop of a tunnel prior to the polythene sheet being fitted it acts as an insulation between the metal and the polythene to prevent the build up of damaging hot spots and prolong the cover life of your polythene sheet by approximately 1 year.
Crop Bar Kit

These are designed to go across the polytunnel fixing on all the internal hoops they enable you to hang and support crops or baskets from the hoops. This option also adds strength to the structure.
Double Ridge Bars

This is a new option now available. Instead of one central ridge bar we have two offset to each side. This allows you to support crops directly above the growing area on both sides of a central pathway. Manufactured from 32mm galvanised steel tube, also adding strength to the structure.
Deluxe Irrigation

Haphazard watering with a garden hose almost always results in overwatering some areas and at the expense of others. This deluxe kit can be used for one of a number of applications, ranging from traditional overhead watering that offers complete coverage, to drip irrigation offering specific grow bag/ low level and container irrigation. These independent drippers are inserted in to a pipe where required. Traditional hanging baskets can also be catered for and also has the ability to irrigate raised benching. You simply follow the clear instructions for whichever method of irrigation set up you chose, all the parts, pipe, drippers and sprayers are included. It’s also very simple to extend your system as your confidence with irrigation increases enabling you to create your own bespoke watering system specific to you and your plant’s requirements.

Base Plates

Base plate are used in conjunction with base rails if you are fixing to a concrete base or existing concrete foundation.
Anchor Plates

When a base rail is used the polytunnel needs to be secured in the ground and these save the need for concrete – which cannot always be used on allotments.
Which Base Rails Shall I Choose? Timber or Aluminium
Aluminium Base Rail
Base rails vastly reduce the amount digging required as there is no need to dig a trench completely around your tunnel. Manufactured from our single Alitrap aluminium fixing system with PVC fixing inserts secured with our tried and test heavy duty brackets.
Timber Base Rail
Base rails vastly reduce the amount digging required as there is no need to dig a trench completely around your tunnel. Manufactured from 75mm x 40 mm Tanalith treated timber with 2 rows of 19mm x 38 mm timber secured with our tried and test heavy duty brackets.
Timber Side Rail

These are ideally suited for longer polytunnels over 30ft that suffer from poor ventilation in the centre of the polytunnel. Manufactured from 75mm x 40 mm Tanalith treated timber with 2 rows of 19mm x 38 mm timber secured with our tried and test heavy duty brackets. Kit includes our 40% windbreak netting for the full length of the structure. This option can be ordered per side of the polytunnel.
Aluminium Side Rail

These are ideally suited for longer polytunnels over 30ft that suffer from poor ventilation in the centre of the polytunnel. Manufactured from our Double Alitrap aluminium fixing system with PVC fixing inserts secured with our tried and test heavy duty brackets. Kit includes our 40% windbreak netting for the full length of the structure. This option can be ordered per side of the polytunnel.
Roll up Curtains

Roll up screen are used in conjunction with side ventilation kits to create a roll up curtain internally that enables you to close off the ventilation. We use a commercial gearbox and drive tube which gives you the opportunity to control how much ventilation you require. We also sew pvc strips on to the ventilation netting at ground level to stop the cool air damaging young plants.
Which Door Shall I Choose? PVC, Timber or Aluminium
PVC Doors

Heavy duty PVC blinds at both ends of your polytunnel. The blinds can be fully open to allow access or half open for ventilation.
Timber Doors

Sliding doors, a far superior product to a hinged door, to each end of the polytunnel. Manufactured from 40mm x 40mm timber, supplied with enough cladding to clad with polythene or net or a combination of each.
Aluminium Doors

Sliding doors, a far superior product to a hinged door, to each end of the polytunnel. Manufactured from our Single Alibox system, supplied with enough cladding to clad with polythene or net or a combination of each.
Which Door Frames Shall I Choose? Timber or Aluminium
Timber Door Frames

75mm x 40mm timber with 2 rows of 38mm x 19mm battens treated with Tanalith® E wood preservative.
Aluminium Door Frames

Manufactured from our Single Alibox system that is widely used throughout the commercial polytunnel sector. This provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
