Perfection takes time

For over 40 years Northern Polytunnels have been designing and manufacturing polytunnels. One of our long standing customers are Stanley Growers on the Falkland Islands. Established for nearly 30 years, Stanley Growers are a hydroponic market garden growing salads , vegetables and soft fruits for the South Atlantic.

The first Northern Polytunnel was erected at Stanley Growers in the 1980's. Over the next three decades the site has grown and now has 46 single-span polytunnels, one 6 bay multi-span and one 11 bay multi-span (as seen in the above photo). They have another single-span on its way!

So what is so great about our polytunnels?

When you buy a Northern Polytunnel you can be assured you have made the right choice. The design has been developed over 40 years it has been tried, tested and perfected until it is of the highest standard.

Steel: Highest grade and fully galvanised inside and out to avoid corrosion.

Hoops: Manufactured in two pieces which makes then much, much stronger than a hoop cut into three, four or five pieces.

Timber: Locally sourced and Tanalith treated for long life.

Gutters: 1.8mm thickness with 275g/m2 hot dipped galvanised zinc coatings.

Polythene: UK manufactured for the UK climate.
