polytunnel NP Structures have now firmly established as one of the leading providers and manufacturers of polytunnels throughout the whole of the UK with over fourty years of hands on experience within this industry going into every polytunnel. The idea for NP Structures first came to light many years ago in 1969 when a gentleman by the name of Peter Wolfenden, formerly a dairy farmer came up with the innovative idea of obtaining a sheet of polythene and using this to cover bales of hay by simply putting eyelets into each corner so that the bales could then be stacked into piles and adequately covered so as not to get wet and being ruined, this was the start of what is in now a booming empire.

The next step was to then stretch the polythene over steel hoops, these were one of the original formats of poytunnels. The business then expanded when all three of Mr. Wolfenen's children decided to join the company and expand it forming many different aspects to run in conjunction with the business, and this was the start of the LSB Group. In 1990 LBS made a shrewd business deal and acquired a new and enterprising company by the name of Northern Polytunnels, who had moved onto the next level and developed multispan polytunnels for commercial use. This quite obviously strengthened the structure of the business and enhanced our position within the commercial horticulture industry, making us one of the leading producers of commercial poytunnels in the UK.
