Who are Northern Polytunnels?

Northern Polytunnels is a family business based in Lancashire.  We manufacture and deliver a wide range of products focused on specific customer needs which include hobby, commercial, horticultural, livestock and PVC clad structures. Northern Polytunnels has become a household name that is synonymous with quality. Established in 1969 we have supplied polytunnels all over the world including to the Arctic Circle, the Alps, The Falklands, The United Arab Emirates and the Outer Hebrides.

Our British-made canopy systems have been supplied to many of the garden centres, hobbyists, and commercial growers across the country.

To produce the best polytunnels on the market, we have carefully developed our in-house design team. Our expert engineers use structural analysis software to test the different conditions our structures will be subject to. This helps us ensure that we offer the sturdiest, most weatherproof structures. Our engineers are constantly innovating, finding creative solutions to the difficulties we see our structures facing.

As we manufacture everything onsite, we understand the value of using only the best quality materials to maintain the integrity of the finished product. Hours of research has gone into the companies we partner with, such as ArmourGuard, who have proven to offer the best performing steel on the market. Our raw materials are both certified and certificated (where possible) so that we can guarantee consistent quality.

Production

We’ve recently added a second purpose-built manufacturing and distribution warehouse to our portfolio, doubling our capable production output without jeopardising our standard of manufacturing. Our policy of reinvestment into our manufacturing equipment has delivered the most up-to-date facility in our industry. This enables us to manufacture efficiently and accurately time after time.

To improve the experience for our commercial customers, we have invested in a fleet of wagons up to 40 ton articulated with Moffatts.

Construction Scissor Lift

For our Commercial and Industrial clients we offer onsite construction by our experinced team. We have recently purchased new machinery to erect our tunnels in all weather conditions. We are the only polytunnel company in the UK to have tracked carriers and platforms to work through the harsh winter months. This reduces the risk of heavy rain delaying the erection of your buildings.
