Choosing the right horticultural polytunnel

Polytunnels provide the basis for many horticulture businesses in the UK and are one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of covering large areas of land. Manufactured using the finest commercial grade materials, we produce horticulture polytunnels that are fit for purpose and designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions.

We manufacture built-to-measure polytunnels that are specifically designed to meet your individual growing requirements, therefore when selecting your horticulture polytunnel it is vital to know what you’ll be growing. The growing conditions and environment you need to create will determine the polytunnel or structure you require for your horticulture business.

Single and Multi Span Polytunnels     Multispan Polytunnel

For over 50 years we’ve been producing traditional single and multi span polytunnels. Ideally suited to growing plants and fruit of all shapes and sizes, they can be equipped with the latest polytunnel controls including irrigation, lighting and heating systems.

Providing large, easy to access structures these polytunnels make commercial growing simple and hassle free. Fitted with specially designed netting, plants are protected from direct sunlight, whilst being exposed to natural air circulation.

Choosing either a single span or multi span polytunnel will depend on the space you have available as well as the number of plants you intend on growing.

Not all plants are suited to the growing environment a polytunnel provides, which is why we have designed the Shade House. Ideal for garden centres and other businesses growing hardy trees, shrubs and vines a Shade House provides semi-shading and protection from direct sunlight. Which for nursery stock such as Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias and Tree Fern is incredibly important.

Our latest Shade House design enables easy accessibility and full use of the floor. Fitted with 40% shade netting and Paraweb, like our polytunnels, the materials we use allow free air circulation whilst providing shelter and protection from strong winds, which could cause damage to plants.

To avoid being disappointed be sure to carefully consider what growing conditions you'd like to achieve, this will help you massively when choosing a polytunnel for your horticulture business.
